Solution I imagine: script that checks or sets every minute that atmos is selected, if not, then disable/enable device and set proper settings(needs to disable at times to have option available). All the utilities and tools in this Web site are compressed in a ZIP file. Checked the 'exclusive control' settings, still unchecked, yet Atmos still was changed!!!ĬONCLUSION: Previous posting is incorrect. UPDATE: day 2 and settings reverted off Atmos, back to sonic trash. Only question does this have any negative, such as change of sound latency or windows performance at all? SEEMS TO WORK!!! Two devices with Atmos, one I changed settings seems to stick, while other is different I don't think it behaved like this before, as all would change to windows garbage sonic! will confirm positive results or negative within 2-days. SoundVolumeView.exe /SetSpatial "High Definition Audio Device\Device\Speakers\Render" "" SoundVolumeView.exe /SetSpatial "High Definition Audio Device\Device\Speakers\Render" "Windows Sonic" SoundVolumeView.exe /SetSpatial "High Definition Audio Device\Device\Speakers\Render" "Windows Sonic For Headphones" In the parameter you can specify the full name of the spatial sound format (e.g: Windows Sonic For Headphones), partial name (e.g: Windows Sonic), or the GUID of the spatial sound format (e.g: " Sets the 'Spatial sound format' of the specified sound device on Windows 10. If you could find the appropriate regkey, you could likely set up windows task scheduler to run a batch script on login to change it, but I think that's probably easier said then done as I doubt it's a simple 0/1, but I can't verify.Īlong the same lines, you could use something like for scripting possibly, it looks like it might support what you're looking for using this command: /SetSpatial Apple TV+ - ( r/tvPlus | r/AppleTvPlus).Steam - ( r/Steam) | ( r/SteamOS) - Gaming.NVIDIA Shield TV - ( r/ShieldAndroidTV | r/NvidiaShield).BEFORE POSTING, please read our Rules Wiki r/HTPC - Home Theater PC - Drive your home theater media experience with a PC or media device.
